Sketch Dailies

Part of my efforts to keep active with my art when I'm focused on other areas of my life like job interviews, supply teaching and studying, I've decided to join in the daily twitter drawing group 'Sketch Dailies.' As the name suggests, each day a new topic for inspiration is given via Twitter and people around the world sketch, draw or paint a response and post it.

Not only does it inspire you to do a little bit of art each day, but its also inspiring to see everyone else's interpretation of the day's topic and the virtual community of artists gives you access to follow other artists as well as promoting your own work. Use the hash-tag #Sketch_Dailies and @Sketch_Dailies to join in the art making.  

So far, I've completed one- Hercules, was the topic. I intend to post them here on my blog each day. I fear as the year goes on if I dont keep using it, I'm gonna lose it- so this is my way of keeping myself motivated artistically. And the best thing? There are no winners or losers, it doesnt matter if its crap- just as long as you have made the effort to do something each day to progress your art.
