Capturing Cooper

So I tried a pet portrait. I was trying to think of a gift for a friend who absolutely adores her dog, a Labrador called Cooper. I've drawn animals in the past but have never actually drawn someone's pet and I was really worried that I wasn't going to capture the quintessential quality that is 'Cooper,' I didn't want to end up with 'Generic Lab.' I used a reference photo as shown in the first screen cap.

Gave the picture tonight and I think she really liked it, so I guess; success.
